Kya Garwood Wins Award in Accolade Global Film Competition
Kya Garwood has won another prestigious Award, this time an Award of Merit, from The Accolade Global Film Competition. The award for Best Leading Actress was given to Kya for her role in the short French film Lucy, directed by French/Italian director Bastien Leblanc. Entries are judged by highly qualified professionals in the film and television industry. By earning an Accolade, Kya Garwood joins a distinguished group of recipients, including the Oscar-winning production The Lady in Number Six by Malcolm Clarke, Dave Bossert of Disney for The Tunes Behind the Toons, Hollywood veteran Ron Howard for When You Find Me, and Highwire Films Australia for their acclaimed ABC TV series twentysomething. Exciting times ahead as Kya heads off to LA, joining a vibrant scene of talent in the hope of finding an agent and building connections.
