Another Nomination for Kya Garwood and LUCY

Lucy has been nominated for Best Mystery Short at the IndieEx Film Awards, which will be held at the Regal Live LA on May 30th. In downtown Los Angeles, this red-carpet event will host 60 films from around the world all in hope of taking away an award. Kya played the lead role in the short film, which has currently taken several leading actress awards for her powerful performance as Suzan.

Kya Garwood Wins Award in Accolade Global Film Competition

Kya Garwood has won another prestigious Award, this time an Award of Merit, from The Accolade Global Film Competition. The award for Best Leading Actress was given to Kya for her role in the short French film Lucy, directed by French/Italian director Bastien Leblanc. Entries are judged by highly qualified professionals in the film and television industry. By earning an Accolade, Kya Garwood joins a distinguished group of recipients, including the Oscar-winning production The Lady in Number Six by Malcolm Clarke, Dave Bossert of Disney for The Tunes Behind the Toons, Hollywood veteran Ron Howard for When You Find Me, and Highwire Films Australia for their acclaimed ABC TV series twentysomething. Exciting times ahead as Kya heads off to LA, joining a vibrant scene of talent in the hope of finding an agent and building connections.
